Traffic and Child Safety

The HOA board has held several meetings over the last few months regarding concerns over traffic and child safety around the East Gate.

The board has adopted a revised program which restricts parking during school drop off hours and pick up hours on Kingswood Drive, Kingswood Circle, Kingswood Court, Kingswood Lane, and Kingswood Place. This polixy wil be adopted May 26, 2009 at a scheduled HOA meeting. You may submit your comments in writing by May 15th.

Main Gate: Bridge reconstruction to begin May 4th

This work will take up to 16 weeks and could possibly take longer if unknown factors are discovered. During the project, the main gate will be open ONLY to residents and guests entering the community. All residents will have to exit the community through the wast gate on Camino Tassajara.

Over the past 8 years, a total of $545,000 has been donated to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Last year alone, over $115,000 was raised thanks to generous supporters. Families of SMA is the largest international organization that promotes research, education, and support to families affected by this.


Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy is dedicated to creating a treatment and cure by:
• Funding and advancing a comprehensive research program
• Supporting SMA families through networking, information and services
• Improving care for all SMA patients
• Educating health professionals and the public about SMA
• Enlisting government support for SMA
• Embracing all touched by SMA in a caring community


This year Concert for a Cure will take place at the Blackhawk Country Club on May 15. Between an online auction, live event, and monetary donations, every dollar raised helps to bring Families of SMA closer to a cure. Alamo-Danville Newcomers is a women’s organizations whose purpose is to enrich the lives of all its members and their families in a social manner. (mission statement) They meet the second Tuesday of each month for a lunch/program in local restaurants and the format is to enhance meeting new and current members. The Cinderella Classic descends Upon Danville!



If you were out and about on Saturday within the tri-valley then you probably noticed female cyclists out enmasse. It was the Annual Cinderella Classic Bike Event featuring female riders of all ages participating in the 100 kilometer (65 Mile) bike ride through the Amador, Livermore and San Ramon Valley. Dressed in costumes, ranging from decorated helmets, tiaras, tutus and more. Enduring an early morning start from the Alameda Fairgrounds and frigid temperatures nearly 2500 set out for the ride of their life. The last of the three aid stations was set-up at Tassajara Hills Elementary School where riders could rest, hydrate, and stretch before heading out to finish the last 21 miles. The ride is very well supported by The Valley Spokesmen Cycling group. The date for the 2010 event has just been announced and it is sure to be a sell-out! Register early to confirm your spot.
